On arrival on Sanday Helen managed to work some Orkney magic and we could check in ahead of the usual check in time which was extremely helpful as we arrived on a wet and soggy day! The cabin was just as expected and we managed to settle in in no time at all - felt very cosy and relaxing. Everything was thought of in anticipation of forgetful packing and the kitchen area was fully stocked with all the necessary items needed to cook our meals. Very thoughtful touches hiding in the cupboards aswell. But the cherry on top was our welcome gifts of homemade bread, real Scottish shortbread and eggs laid by Helen’s hens. These were particularly wonderful. We had no real need to hassle Helen about anything during our 7 night stay but if we did she promptly responded. Very comfy bed, perfect 🌟

Hot tub for an additional charge was so worth it, large, private and had a great view.
This was a great base for exploring Sanday, which we loved, and would thoroughly recommend a stay here.
Also worth mentioning a couple of local businesses: fantastic pizzas at 59 Degrees North and great glassware made by Julie at the Sanday Fused Glass Studio, which is located very close by the cabin. Both well worth a visit.

Wir wurden persönlich... read more empfangen und uns wurde alles gezeigt und erklärt. Die Hütte ist super ausgestattet und sehr gemütlich. Toll war es, dass uns sogar frisches Brot und Kuchen erwartet hat ❤️ Der Whirlpool ist super. Er steht an einem windgeschütztem Ort, sodass wir ihn trotz starkem Windes gut nutzen konnten. Helen hat uns sogar angeboten noch eine Nacht länger zu bleiben, falls die Fähre (wegen des Sturmes) nicht gefahren wäre. Sehr nette und informative Kommunikation 😌 Danke!

It was lovey and warm and easy to get around from that location.
I would not hesitate to recommend.
